IMMMA sends off another for secondment programme

IMMMA Advocates is pleased to send another team member, senior associate Libent Rwazo for a secondment programme. Mr. Rwazo will attend the secondment programme at the DLA Piper London Liverpool and Manchester offices from 4th October to 6th November this year. Mr. Rwazo will participate in the Secondment Programme together with 8 other Secondees from 7 jurisdictions across Africa which are Namibia, Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia and Ethiopia that are also members of the DLA Piper Group. In this programme Mr. Rwazo will co-work in the Litigation Department and Finance Department. The programme will also include training in management and team-work for secondees.

The secondment programme is a DLA Piper programme that aims to provide more opportunities to experience the operation of a global legal firm. The Secondment programme is a critical element of DLA Piper strategic agenda, which provides several benefits to secondees and legal service clients, including aiding the development and integration of
lawyers.

This programme gives lawyers from across DLA Piper Africa the opportunity to spend up to one month in one of our UK based offices and develop their keys skills through career development, learning and development, training academies and know-how programmes.

The Secondment Programme aids the development and integration of lawyers, from various member firms of DLA Piper Africa, as they all meet under one office in London. This also helps one secondee to understand the culture of another and their way of doing business.

The secondment programme was introduced back in 2016 following the inauguration of the Secondment Development Programme- DLA Piper Africa (“SDP – Africa”). The Programme will be a continuous following the success of the past programmes.
