Tanzania strengthens team with the promotion of four trainees to associates

DLA Piper Africa, Tanzania (IMMMA Advocates) announces the retention and promotion of four trainee lawyers to associates in Dar es Salaam. The new associates will join the firm after a successful two-year Associate Trainees Programme and will work across the firm’s practice areas, including: Banking and Finance, Corporate M&A, Employment and Commercial Litigation and Arbitration.
As part of the two year training programme, associate trainees are given the tools to build a successful career as a lawyer. Practically, they join diverse teams, working alongside lawyers at all levels of the business in various practice groups ad offices, learning through practice, observation and attending training offered locally and through DLA Piper Africa, gaining an understanding of how to deliver legal advice, and acquiring sector knowledge. Trainees will also be encouraged to do pro bono and community work which will help develop skills in leadership, teamwork and communication.
The promotion of these trainees to associates, will ensure the sustained growth of the firm and meeting the growing needs of its clients.
